Former NBA player Lance Blanks played basketball professionally from 1990 to 1995. On September 9, 1966, he was born in Houston, Texas. While a student at the University of Texas at Austin, Blanks represented the Texas Longhorns in college basketball. After college, Blanks was taken by the Detroit Pistons in the first round of the 1990 NBA draft (26th overall).
