It is not only university ground, but also facing backlash from netizens. In the 30-second viral clip, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery can be seen struggling to continue his speech at BU as protesters raise his slogans. In the video, he can be heard saying that “if you want to be successful, you’re going to need to figure out how to get along with everyone, and that includes difficult people.” He was unable to complete his speech and protesters continued to chant “Pay your writers.” Now after watching this viral video, many people are sharing their opinion and comments about it.
Victor Shi, activist, speaker and writer also tweeted about it. The youngest delegate for US President in 2020 states that “Young people know what is going on and they are not afraid to make their voices heard”. People love the reaction of the students and praise them for their loud voices against him. The chants raised at BU, at the time of David’s speech, were in response to the ongoing strike by the Writers Guild of America.
