A woman who has been described as the “tenant from hell” for occupying a luxurious Los Angeles mansion for more than a year and a half has finally vacated the property, but left it smelling rancid and infested with flies.
Elizabeth Hirschhorn, 55, was seen on Friday removing boxes from Dr. Sascha Jovanovic’s guest house in Brentwood with the help of three male friends, according to the Daily Mail.
The 61-year-old owner said it was “a pretty crazy time.”
Jovanovic said he and his attorney, Sebastian Rucci, were at his home being interviewed about Hirschhorn’s refusal to leave unless he paid him a $100,000 relocation fee when “immediately, these three men began walking around the property.” .
The owner of the mansion decided to confront the strangers and said they mentioned something about the guest house where Hirschhorn was staying.
“I walked to the guest house, knocked on the door and no one answered,” he recounted on NewNation’s Banfield on Monday.
“Then I called the police because there was a break-in and three men came onto our property.”

Police then arrived at the luxurious mansion overlooking the City of Angels and oversaw Hirschhorn’s transfer.
When he finally left on Friday night, Jovanovich entered his guest house for the first time in months and found it empty, but infested with flies, he said.
“There was [a] “It smelled bad, it was dirty,” said the dentist. “And yes, it was something that my first reaction was [that] everything has to go or be donated to charity.”
He also said he and his lawyer assumed that Hirschhorn had finally left the property and that Jovanovic changed the locks on the guest house, which is next to her children’s bedroom, so she could never return.

But when Rucci contacted Hirschhorn’s attorney, Amanda Seward, the next day to suggest canceling an upcoming eviction hearing, she was told that Hirschhorn’s permission from the property should only be considered “temporary.”
She told him that he “jumped through” changing the locks, saying that Hirschhorn had “discussed with me his concerns about the constant harassment and surveillance,” according to the Mail.
“Subject to my conversations, please note that you have no authority to change the locks or assume abandonment of the property,” Seward responded.
Rucci said he was stunned when he read the email.
Hirschhorn had rented a long-term stay at Jovanovic’s guest house in September 2021 for six months at a rate of $105 a night, with rates bringing the total to $20,793, according to court documents.
“I thought ‘no,’ so I responded and said, ‘No, it’s up to you. If you want to come back, you go to court,’” she said.
Hirschhorn, a Harvard graduate, is now staying in a fully furnished apartment at an extended-stay hotel in downtown Los Angeles, which costs $3,600 a month, the Mail reported.
It comes with a swimming pool, a rooftop tennis court and a fully equipped gym.
“I can’t believe a person like this can actually rent something, so maybe he signed with someone,” Jovanovic said Monday of the report about his new living situation.
“I just have to tell them, honestly, do a background check. This lady is up [to] not good. She will do this again, because she has done it for 21 years and, you know, it has to be stopped.”

Hirschhorn rented an extended stay at Jovanovic’s guesthouse in September 2021 for six months at a rate of $105 per night, with fees bringing the total to $20,793, according to court documents.
His lease expired in March 2022, but Jovanovic decided to extend it for another month.
Still, she would not abandon the property and had been living there rent-free ever since.
Airbnb refused to get involved in the dispute, citing Jovanovic’s decision to extend his rental beyond what he had paid on the app.
Jovanovic then took Hirschhorn to court to have her evicted, but a Los Angeles judge ruled that he had no legal reason to evict her under the city’s Just Cause Ordinance, and that he would be required to pay her a fee of relocation if I wanted him to leave.

Hirschhorn’s lawyers argued in court papers that she needed $100,000 for the relocation fee and said she should not have to pay rent.
Instead, they argued, Jovanovic should refund the $20,793 he initially spent on rent because the city never approved the guesthouse’s occupancy and its shower was built without a permit.
It was later revealed that Hirschhorn had previously been accused of refusing to leave another property, just months before moving into Jovanovic’s guest house.
The Massachusetts native agreed to sublease the room in a $2.6 million Oakland bungalow around September 2019 to tenant Alex Lewin, but eventually became embroiled in a dispute with him over cleanliness, according to documents obtained by the Daily Mail. .
A lawsuit filed by Lewin along with owners Brian and Gordon Bishop states that Brian “is aware of and believes that the defendant made unreasonable requests of Mr. Lewin to replace all of his personal items that were allegedly damaged by an unknown substance that was released in the air. .

“In addition, the defendant requested that Mr. Lewin clean the premises in a very specific manner due to his hypersensitivity to allergens.”
But Hirschhorn hit back at the owners, claiming their actions had been detrimental to his health and accusing them of negligence.
Hirschhorn also allegedly argued that the owners “pressured” her to leave the property during the COVID shutdown, which she claimed amounted to “negligence.”
The case was finally settled on July 20, 2021, just over a month before she moved into Jovanovic’s guest house.
