Robert Card’s ex-wife and teenage son were in hiding as the search for the Maine mass murderer continued Friday, before he was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Card, an Army reservist, 40, is the father of an 18-year-old son, Colby, from his 2005 marriage to Cara Lamb.
Their union ended in divorce two years later, according to court records obtained by The Post.
Lamb, 39, and her son were understood to have remained in hiding while her ex-husband remained at large, wanted for Wednesday’s shooting in Lewiston, Maine, that left 18 dead and at least 13 wounded.
Lamb was not at her listed address on Friday and a neighbor said he had not seen her. She declined to comment when contacted by phone.
Previous reports claimed Card may have been trying to track down an ex during the deadly attack at a restaurant and bowling alley in Lewiston on Wednesday night.
Card’s sister told investigators she believed he may have been looking for his ex-girlfriend when he was accused of shooting at the Sparetime Recreation bowling alley and Schemengees Bar and Grille, ABC News reported, citing sources.
It’s unclear whether Card’s sister was referring to Lamb or a more recent ex.

Other members of Card’s family acknowledged that he had been struggling with his mental health in recent months and thought he was hearing voices.
Records show Card and Lamb were married in Brunswick on Oct. 1, 2005, and jointly filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences in Sagadahoc County Court in 2007.
An amended version of the 2013 divorce agreement included a requirement that read: “It is further ordered that all weapons in either party’s home be locked up during the time they are not in use.”
Card, who represented himself throughout the years-long process, described himself as self-employed and was ordered to pay $74 a week in child support in 2013.
His son, now a legal adult, was allegedly the recipient of a mysterious note that investigators discovered Thursday while executing a warrant at Card’s neglected Bowdoin home, according to ABC.

The note “provided information and instructions to others about where things could be found and disposed of,” law enforcement sources told CNN, which they said suggested that “by the time it was found or read, Card would no longer be alive.”
Maine officials would not disclose a potential motive but said they are investigating Card’s mental health when asked Thursday about his background and gun ownership.
“I know we’ll review that information as we move forward, but that’s not an answer we’re prepared to give today,” Maine Department of Public Safety Commissioner Mike Sauschuck said during a news conference.
“There is still an active search for the suspect in question.”
The search for Card has extended to Canada and federal, state and local forces are looking to find him.
