Manasa Varanasi was born on March 21, 1997 in Hyderabad, Telangana in a Hindu family. Her father’s name is Ravi Sankar and her mother’s name is Shailaja Varanasi. At a young age, she moved to Malaysia due to her father’s job.
Manasa completed her high school at Global Indian International School. Later he returned to India. He studied higher secondary school and then graduated in computer science from Vasavi College of Engineering Hyderabad. Growing up, Manasa was a shy child and preferred to express herself through Bharatanatyam and music.

During her university studies, Manasa leaned into modeling and won the Miss Fresher award in her first year of graduation. Later, she participated in the state-level beauty pageant Femina Miss Telangana 2019 and reached the finals. The following year, she was crowned Femina Miss Telangana 2020 in the same pageant. Consequently, Ella Manasa got the opportunity to participate in Femina Miss India World 2020.
