Far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene got an unwanted Christmas surprise Monday: Police were called to the Georgia Republican’s home in the latest incident of “swatting” harassment against her.
A spokesperson for the Rome Police Department confirmed to The Post that the 911 dispatch center received an emergency call to Greene’s address shortly before noon.
According to police, an individual called a suicide hotline claiming to have shot his girlfriend and threatened to commit suicide.
“Our team in its response… coordinated with her security team and it was determined that there was no emergency and that she was safe,” the spokesperson explained. “In fact, our response was canceled along the way.”
“They just crushed me. This is like the eighth time,” Greene posted on X. “Christmas with my family here. My local police are the GREATEST and I shouldn’t have to deal with this.
“I appreciate you very much and my family and I are happy celebrating the birth of our savior Jesus Christ!”

“Swatting” is a harassment tactic in which pranksters report a false emergency to authorities to send agents to the victim’s address.
Many conservatives have been victims of attacks. Activist Jack Posobiec claimed that his parents were massacred on Saturday.
In August 2022, someone called police to Greene’s home and used a computer-generated voice to claim that someone had been shot.

That incident appeared to be related to anger over Greene’s position on “transgender youth rights.”
In a subsequent post on Monday, Greene revealed that she received threats last week from a man who wanted to fight her.
“Fight me, big mouth. I’ll beat your brains out on the sidewalk. Have fun looking over your bag,” the individual allegedly messaged her on December 21.
The man then claimed he was being recruited by the FBI.
Greene further alleged that she went to the Capitol Police with the messages and that the man has not yet been arrested.
Capitol Police sent him an email noting the individual’s responses to questions about the threats.
“The absolute absurdity of this email response and the fact that this guy was not arrested is shocking; luckily I am a gun owner,” Greene said.
“I will never stop fighting for what is right and will always put America first! “It doesn’t matter what or who attacks me.”
Greene also joked that she intends to introduce legislation to end swatting.
The Post has reached out to both the FBI and Capitol Police for comment.
Greene has been an ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election cycle and has even mused about being his running mate.
