Career
Riondino made his television debut acting in the Police District, where he played Sabina’s boyfriend. He gained recognition for his performance as Francesco in The Past is a Foreign Land in 2008. He won the Best Actor award at the Rome Film Festival and at the Miami International Film Festival.
Riondino played the role of Roberto in Dormant Beauty in 2012. The same year, he played the role of Commissioner Salvo Montalbano, newly appointed police chief of Vigata in Young Montalbano. After the enormous success of Il Giovane Montalbano he decided to return to the theater to find contact with reality and signed his first film as a director with The Vertigo of the Dragon, written by Alessandra Mortellitti.
