‘Morning Joe’ Delayed Nearly 15 Minutes as MSNBC Faces Technical Nightmare, Eerily Playing Lawrence O’Donnell Replay

It wasn’t possible for “Morning Joe.”

MSNBC faced a technical nightmare early Tuesday that left viewers more bewildered than usual as they waited nearly 15 minutes for its flagship morning show, “Morning Joe.”

Those who tuned in at 6 a.m. were greeted with a shot of the Capitol building along with an extended play of The Who’s “Teenage Wasteland.”

Viewers were then met with a series of internal promos and commercials playing in a confusing loop until around 6:07 am.

Then, instead of breaking news, the station began playing a rerun of “Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell” without any message explaining that it was a rerun.

Finally, Mika Brzezinski started “Morning Joe” at 6:12 am, with no real explanation for the long delay.

“Alright, thank you all for putting up with us… getting a little late start this morning,” Brzezinski said.

The mysterious problem actually started earlier, when “Way Too Early” host Jonathan Lemire noticed on X just after 5:30 a.m. that the station was experiencing “technical difficulties.”

“Stay with us @MSNBC, we look forward to going live again soon.” Lemire wrote shortly before 6 am. and the delayed start of “Morning Joe.”

“Thank you for your patience,” he wrote.

MSNBC declined to comment when contacted by The Post early Tuesday.
