‘My beautiful mom’: Jona Osorto cries when she receives a portrait of her grandmother

With tears and a lump in her throat, this is how Jona Osorto received the portrait of her grandmother María Isabel Montoya, better known as the “mamita” of TikTok, who died on Sunday, November 26.

The account of “mamita”, an 89-year-old content creator, reached 1.4 million followers on her social networks. The videos were recorded by her grandson, Jona Osorto, who has also been strongly questioned because some Internet users accuse him of using his grandmother to achieve fame.

After Mamita’s death, Honduran artist Lucas Guerra (@lucasguerra_hn) wanted to honor her memory and created a portrait where she appears with her characteristic smile.

This drawing arrived on Tuesday in the hands of Jona, with whom he made each of the videos that brought a smile to the catrachos and foreigners who followed them.

After opening the package, tears began to flow down the face of the young man from Choluteca, southern Honduras, and he began to shake.

“My pretty old lady, thank you very much Lucas for this gift, for drawing my beautiful mommy,” were the words she was able to say.

“Even though he smiles, you can see his sadness for his mom”; “Strength, Jona, we all wish you a happy life” and “be strong, mommy is in a place without illnesses,” are some of the comments she received.

Finally, he assured that he will continue making content for social networks and thanked all the people who have supported him.
