According to multiple media reports, Nas EBK has been arrested and charged with allegedly murdering the man in the Time Square shooting. This event occurred in February. On Friday, March 10, 2023, the Bronx rapper was reportedly arrested in New Jersey and then brought back to Midtown for his arrest. Reports indicate that the rapper is alleged to have gotten into an altercation with the victim on February 9, 2023 at the corner of the very public intersection of 44th Street and 8th Avenue in Times Square. The altercation is said to have dragged on with the rapper reportedly shooting the victim.

The bullet hit the right side of the victim’s chest and was seriously injured. The victim was identified as 22-year-old Idressa Siby. The report further added that Siby assisted to flee, but she fell a block later at a Chick-fil-A. Numerous attempts to retrieve him at the scene proved futile and she later succumbed to her injuries on Mount West Sinai. Police filed the case, claiming that the duo already knew each other and that the victim was, in fact, the intended target. She is charged with the second degree. However, the rapper has claimed his innocence, taking down his social media account on the day of his arrest along with the post that reads “INNOCENT.”
