He is Angkit Joshi, a viral taxi driver living in Noida. He was 28 years old when he left his job as a business developer.

Who said taking a taxi had to be boring? Meet Angkit Joshi, a taxi driver from Noida, whose hilarious encounters with customers have gone viral and earned him over 171,000 followers on social media in just four months.
However, Joshi never imagined the amount of traction his cheerful taxi conversations would receive when he left his job as a business developer to pursue this career.
Joshi recalls, “I was just tired of corporate life. Due to the monotonous routine, every day seemed the same.”

Although Joshi made the decision to change careers, he still feels the pain when taxi drivers are not treated with dignity. “Before, people called me sir, but now, ab main sabko sir ya madam bulata hun,” he shared.
He further said that police officers often treated him rudely, as did parking and other car attendants. He even occasionally encountered trolling on Instagram.
“I used to worry thinking that my father’s colleagues had their children in high corporate positions, so how would I present myself to people as a taxi driver?” he said, describing his concerns about his family’s reaction before making the move.

Joshi had a well thought out strategy, which prompted him to take the risk. He revealed that some people sent him messages expressing their desire to emulate his journey, but he advised them against it.
Joshi mentioned that his income saw a significant decline after he left his job, but has been increasing steadily since then.
