New Jersey Democratic political boss George Norcross was ejected from a Philadelphia Eagles game on Sunday after security confronted him over the American-Israeli flag flying from his luxury suite and an altercation ensued, officials said. of the stadium.
Norcross, 67, a man of power whose endorsement is sought after in the Garden State, was seen in a video posted on X being confronted by security officers at Lincoln Financial Field, where he was watching the Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys.
He was filmed shouting and pointing at a security guard before he was taken away.
Meanwhile, another security officer reached down and tore off his flag, displaying the American flag on one half and the Israeli flag on the other, in an apparent show of support for the Jewish nation.
A stadium official told The Post that flags were prohibited in the stadium in a “longstanding policy.”
When security guards confronted Norcross about the display, the stadium official said he became “verbally and physically abusive” and was therefore ejected from the stadium.

Lincoln Financial Field’s policy on signs and banners says security can remove anything that is “potentially offensive.”
“Posters, banners or similar items that are obscene or indecent, unrelated to events, potentially offensive to other patrons, capable of blocking the views of other fans or that the Eagles consider dangerous or inappropriate are prohibited,” it says.

But some fans criticized stadium officials for removing Norcross for his pro-Israel display.
“I’M WITH GEORGE NORCROSS ON THIS… not the Philadelphia @Eagles,” posted civil rights attorney Steven Goldstein.
“George displayed an American-Israeli flag from his own box, which he paid for, at today’s game. Eagles security physically removed him,” he wrote.

“The Eagles owe George and the Jewish community an apology #IStandWithIsrael.”
The Post contacted Lincoln Financial Field and the Philadelphia Eagles for comment.
The Norcross family has previously expressed support for Israel, and George’s brother Donald, a Democratic representative from New Jersey, joined a congressional delegation to visit the Jewish nation just three days after Hamas launched its surprise attack on October 7.
Donald was seen in meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and later issued a statement reaffirming his support for the country.
“It was important for me and my colleagues to travel to Israel to show the strength of the US-Israel relationship and our unbreakable bipartisan, bicameral unity for Israel and the Jewish people,” he said at the time.
“Israel is our closest and most important ally in the Middle East and needs our support now more than ever.”
