ACP Mohd Zaidi Abdullah of City Police said the accident happened on Tuesday at about 6:15 pm. The crash also impacted a Shell tanker lorry, Myvi, a Proton Iriz, Vios, and Saga. The woman who died in this crash was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene. However, the paramedics provided on-site treatment to the injured victims of the crash. Nicolette Hannah George, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was from Kampung Babah, Penampang. She was an employee at a private company at Kepayan 88. Abdullah also said that a total of seven vehicles were involved in the crash, including 5 cars and two trucks (Perodua Bezza, Perodua Myvi, Toyota Vios, Proton Saga, Proton Iriz). “The accident is believed to have occurred when a truck collided with the vehicle in front of it, causing the rearmost vehicle to be trapped under the truck. As a result of the incident, the driver of the Perodua Bezza car was trapped and confirmed dead at the scene,” An investigation under Road Transport Act 1987 Section 41(1), has been initiated.
