Pallavi began her acting career at a young age. In movies like Badla and Aadmi Sadak Ka, she played a child actress. She played a blind young woman who becomes a ruthless criminal in the 1979 film Dada. In the 1980s and early 1990s, she starred in art films such as Rukmavati Ki Haveli, Suraj ka Satvan Ghoda, Trishagni (1988), Vanchit and Bhujangayyana Dashavathara. In big-budget commercial films like Saudagar, Panaah, Tehelka and Mujrim, she played supporting roles as the heroine’s sister or friend.
