Career
Thakur decided to showcase his inner talent at the national level and with the encouragement and support of his father, participated as a contestant in season 1 of &TV’s singing reality show ‘The Voice India’. Her unique voice quality and versatility won the hearts of the judges and audiences and took her to the finals. She was one of the finalists and placed third, then teamed up with fellow Voice India contestant Sachet Tandon to form a musical duo in 2016.
They released their first composition for two songs ‘Subah ki Train’ and ‘Bhoomi’ in ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar.
His next projects were for Batti Gul Meter Chalu and Yamala Pagla Deewana Phir Se. The duo, during 2019-2020, composed numerous soulful and highly successful tunes for Bollywood hits like Kabir Singh, Saaho, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, Pati Patni Aur Who, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Street Dancer 3D.
