Due to this incident, Mr. Frattaroli and his fiancée Magda Mazrifaceg challenges for their wedding ceremony.
Their wedding is set for August 31, according to a report by the New York Post.
On Thursday, the couple visited city hall to complete their marriage paperwork. Upon returning, they discovered their dog had chewed through several pages of Mr. Frattoroli’s passport.
The couple is now working on obtaining a replacement passport and has sought assistance from local authorities.
Mr. Frattoroli told WCVB, “I’m just a little stressed. Congressman (Stephen) Lynch’s and Sen. (Ed) Markey’s offices have been super responsive. They’ve contacted me and the State Department to expedite things and get a new passport. Keep my fingers crossed; hopefully, everything will work itself out.”
The couple’s situation remains uncertain, with their departure to Italy planned for this Friday.
The groom-to-be told the media that if he cannot obtain a replacement passport before the flight, he will remain home while his fiancée and the wedding guests proceed to Italy without him.
If he cannot secure a passport for the ceremony, he mentioned his intention to reunite with the wedding party upon returning to the US.
