One such moment recently took over Twitter, for the truly seasoned X, and left viewers speechless. Twitter user Enthu-Cutlet shared his peak Bengaluru moment on his profile and soon went viral.

On a day like any other, the user was rather surprised to see his auto driver who whipped out his smartwatch when he asked for the scanner to initiate an online payment. Dripping swag, the auto driver showed his smartwatch to the passenger and displayed the QR code on its dial.

The user, though shocked, proceeded to scan the code and make the payment. However, the Bengaluru local did not forget to document the moment and shared a picture of how he scanned the code off the driver’s wrist.

The user shared that he had used the ‘Namma Yatri’ service and joked that he met “namma Tony Stark” for the day. The post instantly went viral with over 330K views as people flocked over to the post.

People too were surprised to see the auto driver’s tech-savvy fashion choice. One user mentioned how they enjoyed noticing such details and observations from the city. While another expected the city called the Silicon Valley of India these locals get with the times and upgrade with the rest of the city-dwellers.

I absolutely love hearing and telling these little observations that I have only experienced in bangalore.

Delhi, Mumbai Are Still Far Behind In The Cashless Race In Comparison To Bengaluru

Even if cities like Delhi and Mumbai are similar beaming metropolitans like Bengaluru, such a sight would be hard to come by. While it is not unlikely to see even auto and rickshaw drivers embracing the cashless lifestyle, it is uncommon to come across an auto driver who is up-to-date with the latest fashion and function masterpiece all-in-one– the smartwatch.

It is often that professionals living in cities stumble upon a situation where an auto driver or rickshaw puller refuses to take their online payment options, though the situation is fast changing in terms of cashless integration of UPI and other online payment options in daily life transactions. India has still miles to walk to achieve the cashless dream.
