Dr Sandeep Singh, 39, was a contract professor at Patiala’s Punjabi University. However, bad circumstances forced him to quit his job and sell vegetables to make ends meet.
What did you do before this?
Dr. Sandeep Singh worked as a contractual professor in the law department of Punjabi University for 11 years. He has a doctorate in law and four master’s degrees in areas such as Punjabi, journalism and political science, and is continuing his studies.
He left his job after encountering difficulties such as salary reductions and irregular compensation. “I had to leave my job because I was not paid on time and there were frequent pay cuts. With that job, it had become difficult for me to make ends meet. That’s why I started selling vegetables to support myself and my family. “
Why did he do this?
Dr Sandeep Singh sells vegetables from house to house every day with his vegetable cart and a sign that says ‘PhD Sabzi Wala’. He claims that selling vegetables pays him more than being a teacher.
You come home after a long day at work to study for your exam. Despite taking a break from teaching, Dr. Sandeep Singh has not abandoned his love for it. He hopes to accumulate money and one day create his own teaching center.
