California Lottery spokesperson Carolyn Becker told The Post she couldn’t comment on the video due to ongoing litigation brought by Rivera, but said they are “absolutely certain” that Castro is “the rightful winner.”
Rivera has claimed that he was the one who purchased the winning ticket at Joe’s Service Center, and that it was then allegedly stolen by its former owner, Urachi “Reggie” Romero.
Sources told The Post that Castro has no connections to any of the men.
Pasadena police have since charged Rivera with filing a false police report, The US Sun reported earlier this month.
