Putin says Biden’s comment about Russian plan to attack NATO is ‘complete nonsense’

Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin said US President Joe Biden’s claim that Russia would attack a NATO country if it won in Ukraine was complete nonsense, adding that Russia had no interest in fighting with the military alliance of NATO.

Biden warned earlier this month that if Putin were to win a victory over Ukraine, then Russia would attack a NATO country.

Biden did not offer clear evidence for his comments.

“It’s complete nonsense, and I think President Biden understands it,” Putin said in an interview published Sunday on state television Rossiya, claiming it was an attempt by Biden to justify his “wrong policy” toward Russia.

“Russia has no reason, no interest – no geopolitical, economic, political or military interest – to fight with NATO countries.”
