Utkarsh Anand is an Indian musician, composer and social worker who works mainly in the Marathi film industry. He is a contestant of the Marathi reality television show Bigg Boss, season 3. Utkarsh is the president of a charitable foundation named after his grandfather Swarsamrat Pralhad Shinde.

Utkarsh Anand was born on January 11, 1986 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. His father Anand Shinde is a playback singer and his mother’s name is Neha Lele. He has two brothers named Adarsh Shinde and Harshad Shinde. Utkarsh studied from MTS Khalsa High School, Goregaon, and graduated with a BHMS degree from Padmashree Dr DY Patil Homeopathic Medicine College and Research Centre. He subsequently pursued higher studies in Homeopathy at the University of London and PGDES (Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Sciences) at Longwood University, Virginia.

Career
Utkarsh was inclined towards music since childhood. He actively participated in cultural and extracurricular activities. Several popular songs have been sung to him like Haak Maratay Kolhapur, Go-Karona, Karona Go, Say Kovid Yodha, Mother is Swarg Baba Darwaza, Haldicha Sohla, etc.
Utkarsh also composed the title song for the television show Mahamanavachi Gaurav Gatha. He and his brother sang a song for the film Priyatma, which nominated him for Best Singer at the 71st Nashik International Short Film Festival. Utkarsh acted as composer for Shivaji Maharaj’s Povada series, Bajirao Povada aired on Sony Marathi. The program called Shindeshahichi Bhimshahi is based on the concept of Utkarsh Shinde. He later created the title song for a Star Pravah serial, Mahamanavachi Gaurav Gatha, with his brother Adarsh Shinde.
