Rep. Rashida Tlaib accuses Biden of supporting the “genocide of the Palestinian people”

Far-left Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) on Friday accused President Biden of supporting the “genocide” of the Palestinians and warned that voters “won’t forget” in 2024.

The “Squad” lawmaker made the accusation in an attack video intended to pressure Biden, 80, to call for a ceasefire in Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists.

The video, a minute and a half long, published on Tlaib’s X AccountIt juxtaposes clips of Biden pledging to “stand with Israel” and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanking the president for his “unequivocal support” with images of Israeli airstrikes in Gaza and Palestinians injured and killed.

“Mr. President, the American people are not with you on this case,” Tlaib, an outspoken critic of Israel’s response to the Oct. 7 terrorist attack on the Jewish state, says in the video.

“We will remember it in 2024,” he adds.

Tlaib’s video includes scenes of large pro-Palestinian protests in the battleground states of Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The chants of “From the river to the sea”, “There is no peace in stolen lands” and “The occupation has to disappear” are subtitled.

“Joe Biden supported the genocide of the Palestinian people,” says large text near the end of the clip. “The American people will not forget.”

“Biden, support a ceasefire now or don’t count on us in 2024,” the video further warns.

Tlaib’s message to Biden comes days after she dodged a House vote of no confidence over her history of anti-Israel comments and participating in a pro-Palestinian protest last month that spilled into a Capitol office building.

Tlaib, 47, denounced the Israeli “occupation” of the Palestinian territories the day after the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel, which left more than 1,400 dead, at least 33 of whom were American citizens. More than 200 civilians were also taken hostage during the unprecedented raid.

The congresswoman representing Michigan’s 12th District also refused to acknowledge that Israeli forces were not responsible for the October 17 rocket attack on al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City.

Both the White House and the Israeli government have determined that the explosion was caused by a failed Islamic Jihad rocket from the Palestinian side of the border.

Islamic Jihad is a smaller radical Palestinian terrorist group that often works with Hamas.

Tlaib’s call for a ceasefire has been echoed by several far-left House lawmakers, including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Cori Bush (D-Mo.), as well as Leader Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.).

Earlier this week, Biden expressed his desire to take a “pause” in the fighting to “give time to get the prisoners out.”
