Tamil Nadu forest officials reunited the missing young elephant with its mother and herd at the Anamalai Tiger Reserve in Pollachi last weekend. After the rescue mission, the calf was observed cuddling with his mother, taking a comfortable afternoon nap.

“The mother elephant’s gentle embrace, her reassuring embrace and her loving warmth is all the rescued elephant calf needed after Tamil Nadu Forest Department officials joined her in the Anamalai Tiger Reserve,” Supriya Sahu captioned in a video of the moment. the photo went viral.
