Rinku Singh, a 23-year-old prodigy, rose to fame after scoring 474 runs in 14 matches for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) during the IPL 2023 season.
His performances have not only secured him a place in the national team, but have also won him fans across the country. Despite his cricketing prowess, Rinku’s family background is one of humble origins.
Why does the father continue to deliver cylinders?
Rinku Singh previously stated that he had asked his father to take a vacation from this physically exhausting job, given his success in cricket. Khanchandra Singh, on the other hand, is still committed to his career and Rinku understands his father’s desire to remain active.
“I told my dad to relax now that we have enough so he doesn’t have to carry cylinders, but he still does it and enjoys his job,” she told the Free Press Journal.
According to the cricketer, “if someone has worked all their life, it is difficult to tell them to stop unless they want to.”
