Rohit Godara is a notorious gangster with a history of criminal activities. He has claimed responsibility for the on-camera murder of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the chief of the Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena.
The incident took place at Mr. Gogamedi’s residence in Jaipur, where two individuals who were apparently having tea with him shot him several times. When video of the shocking shooting went viral, Godara, believed to reside in Canada, took to Facebook to claim his involvement in the high-profile murder.

Criminal profile of Rohit Godara
Hailing from Lunakaran in Bikaner, Rohit Godara is a fugitive with a notorious criminal record and is currently suspected to be in Canada. With over 32 cases registered against him in various police stations across India, Godara has been involved in extortion rackets targeting businessmen in Rajasthan. His demands ranged from Rs 5 million to Rs 17 million, illustrating the audacity of his criminal activities.
Godara is the main accused in the murder of gangster Raju Thehat in Sikar last year, an act for which he openly claimed responsibility in a Facebook post. He attributed Thehat’s elimination to the death of gangsters Anandpal Singh and Balveer Banuda.
Furthermore, Godara is implicated in the sensational murder of Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala, who was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29 the previous year.
Having fled to Dubai from New Delhi on a fake passport under the alias ‘Pawan Kumar’ on June 13, 2022, Godara is now the subject of a Red Notice circular from Interpol.
Who is Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi?
Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was the founder of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena. He parted ways with Shri Rajput Karni Sena in 2015 due to differences with its founder Lokendra Singh Kalvi. Not to be confused with the team that led the protests against the 2018 film ‘Padmaavat’, Gogamedi’s organization became the platform for his activism.

Around 12:30 on the fateful day, Gogamedi’s security team engaged in a shootout with a group of assailants at his residence in Jaipur. The security team managed to neutralize one of the attackers, while the rest of the attackers fled the scene on a motorcycle that they had stolen at gunpoint in front of the Rajput leader’s residence.
