Roopal Tyagi was born on October 6, 1989 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, in a Hindu family. She is the daughter of Rajesh and Poonam Tyagi. She also has a younger brother, Smitesh Tyagi.
Tyagi studied at Sophia High School, Bangalore and came to Mumbai to try his luck in the film industry. She trained at Shiamak Davar Dance Institute and started working as a choreographer with Pony Verma in films.

Career
Tyagi started her career as a dance choreographer in the industry. She worked in many films and television before entering as an actress. She made her acting debut in the television show Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah in 2008. Her Tyagi played an important role of Mansha Kohil alongside Raju Kher, Pariva Pranati and Himani Shivpuri. She later also worked in Dill Mill Gaye and Ek Nayi Chhoti Si Zindagi.
In 2012, Tyagi rose to fame by playing the lead role in Zee TV’s most popular television show Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. The show was about celebrating adolescence and depicted the lives of two teenagers, Gunjan and Rachna. He twice won Zee Rishtey Awards in the Favorite Behen category of the show.
Tyagi participated as a wild card contestant in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 in the year 2015. The same year she got the opportunity to participate in the popular color show Bigg Boss 9.
