India’s first mission to study the sun launched successfully

This is India’s first mission to study the Sun from space. After reaching 1.5 million miles from Earth in 125 days, the spacecraft is expected to enter a Halo orbit around the L1 Lagrangian point, believed to be closest to the Sun.
The primary goal of the solar mission is to gain a better understanding of the coronal heating and acceleration of the solar wind, the onset of coronal mass ejection, the near-Earth space weather, and the distribution of the solar wind. To increase the hype around the launch of Aditya L1, social media users used memes and jokes to respond to the mission on X (formerly Twitter).

Another user drew parallels between the Aditya-L1 mission and a sequence from the anime film The Lion King. Rafiki, the baboon from the film, was shown holding baby lion Simba in his arms, as Simba’s parents looked on proudly.
