Sara Waisglass was born on July 3, 1998 in Toronto, Ontario, the daughter of Tess and Jeff Waisglass. She has an older sister named Carly. She completed her studies at Earl Haig Secondary School.
Waisglass began her career as a model in television commercials. In 2007, she had the opportunity to work on the television comedy The Jane Show as Jane. She later became part of the film Afterwards in 2018. Waisglass rose to fame playing the character of Frankie Hollingsworth in the series Degrassi. She was the youngest member of the Degrassi cast until production began on season 14. In that season, Devyn Nekoda, who plays Arlene Takahashi, became the youngest member of the cast.
