Sicko Hospital Security Guard Accused of Having Sex With Dead Body of 79-Year-Old Woman: Reports

A now-fired security guard was arrested Tuesday for allegedly having sex with the corpse of a 79-year-old woman inside an Arizona hospital morgue after his colleagues caught him in the act, according to reports.

Randall Bird was hit with multiple charges after police launched an investigation late last month into sickening allegations that took place inside the Banner University Medical Center morgue in Phoenix.

While the 46-year-old’s job is only to take dead bodies to the morgue and put them in the freezer, Bird was caught unbelted, with his zipper down and his uniform looking “disorganized” on October 22, the court heard. Documents obtained by the media.

The other workers also saw Bird “sweating profusely” and “acting very nervous” while in the freezer, CBS 5 reported, citing doctors.

The elderly woman’s body bag was also open and she was lying face down with Bird’s belt on top of the gurney where the body was, documents allege.

When security staff entered, he quickly tried to cover the woman’s body before claiming that she had had a medical episode, which led him to grab the victim’s body as she passed out and fell to the ground, doctors said.

He insisted that the body bag was torn and the zipper broke as a result, which the workers did not believe and reported to their supervisors.

Bird was interviewed by police a few days later and again claimed he had had a medical episode and could not remember what happened.

But investigators determined that her DNA was left at the scene and wounds were found on the woman’s body, according to documents also reported by ABC 15.

The woman had reportedly died of natural causes.

“We are saddened and dismayed by the alleged actions of an individual at Banner-University Medical Center Phoenix that resulted in his arrest on November 28, 2023,” hospital officials reportedly said in a statement.

“Banner Health is and remains committed to high standards that require each of our team members to treat everyone, at every stage of life, with compassion, dignity and respect.”

Bird was fired and faces five counts of crimes against a dead person, which are felonies.
