Simaran Kaur was born in Delhi, India, into a Punjabi Sikh family. He studied at the Delhi-based Mater Dei school and later graduated in Sociology from Jesus and Mary College. At just 12 years old, he started working for All India Radio (AIR). Later he had the opportunity to voice the most popular cartoon character, Nobita, in the Doraemon series on the Hungama channel.

Career
Simaran moved to Mumbai in 2016, after having successfully voiced Nobita for over 10 years. In 2017, she made her acting debuts with the television series Agniphera, which aired successfully for two years in prime time. She played the lead role of Srishti alongside Yukti Kapoor, Ankit Gera and Shakti Singh. She later played the lead role in Zee TV’s shows Aghori and Agar Tum Na Hote.
