In his video, Kevin said, “The fact that the tanks the water is in are rarely cleaned should be the least of your worries.” He added: “For me, it’s always been the flight attendants’ way of cleaning the coffee pots.”

The reason Kevin wanted people to skip airplane coffee was that, in his experience, attendees flush their coffee down the toilet and get too close to the container for comfort. He continued, “I imagine there’s some kind of splash of particles or bacteria or whatever that goes right back into the coffee maker, which then goes right back into the coffee maker.”

He humorously mentioned that unless the plane has a Nespresso machine, he would avoid ordering a cup of coffee on board.

He spilled more airplane secrets, revealing that airplane back seat pockets are almost never disinfected, and often hide a collection of unpleasant surprises: diapers, wrappers, used tissues, and even stray strands of hair.

In a candid admission, he shared that when flight attendants encounter downtime, they might simply resort to Googling passengers. “Someone good-looking, in business class, without a wedding ring, they’ll Google you,” she explained.
