Key West police received a complaint on Halloween “about a white man dressed as a banana” who was urinating on the side of a building near a row of portable toilets, according to The Smoking Gun.
Officers arriving at the scene found 20-year-old Kyle Mortimer “urinating on the sidewalk,” according to a police report obtained by the outlet.
The University of Miami student walked away and tried to avoid officers by “zigzagging” as he headed toward Duval Street, police said.

One officer grabbed his banana, but managed to break it before another officer used a leg swing to knock him to the ground, the report said.
Mortimer “laced his fingers together and held them tightly together” in an attempt to prevent the police from handcuffing him, but he was eventually detained in front of the Smokin’ Tuna Saloon.
He posed for a booking photo still in the yellow suit.
The banana head was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors, and was released on bond pending arraignment on November 16.
