Birth and early life
Srilja Ghua was born in Mexico and came to India with her parents when she was very young. She did her schooling in Darjeeling and then came to Calcutta for higher studies. Although he was not brought up in Calcutta, he had no difficulty speaking Bengali. At home there was a Bengali-speaking atmosphere. Ella Srilja loved Kolkata when she visited for the first time and she started modeling in Kolkata and Mumbai.

Career
Srijla made her acting debut in films with an Odia film, Aa Aaa Harsaee, in 2015. She was also a part of the film Jamai Baran, directed by Arunava Mukherjee and featured Suchandra Vaanya, Rohaan Bhattacherjee. Srijla also worked on the film Banjaara in 2019, which is a musical journey of love in search of the soul mate, set in snowy mountain landscapes.
In 2021, she teamed up with Shaun Bandyopadhaya for a Bengali series Mon Phagun, which is a romantic drama. She appeared in the lead role of Pihu.
