Susmita Chatterjee was born on July 8, 1997 in Asansol, West Bengal. She received her education from the local school in Asansol and attended engineering college to pursue a degree in engineering.
Susmita began her journey in the world of modeling in 2019 and soon participated in fashion shows and events around the world. Her hard work paid off as she appeared in multiple brand campaigns over the course of just one year.
In 2021, Susmita got the opportunity to debut in the film industry with the romantic drama film Prem Tame, playing the role of Raji. The film was directed and written by Anindya Chatterjee. That same year, Susmita also made her debut in Hoichoi’s web series, Maradonar Juto, where she appeared as Hiya Dutt alongside Amartya Ray.
