The ICM closed the terminal road to traffic while a bomb squad searched the car.

After approximately an hour, the vehicle was removed and the road reopened to traffic.

The brief emergency significantly affected airport operations.

All vehicle traffic entering the airport was stopped, causing a massive traffic jam, and passengers inside the terminal were advised to shelter in place.

Air traffic controllers briefly stopped an outbound flight due to an “emergency situation,” CNN reported.

The incident also led to the closure of two security checkpoints at the main terminal.

Officials removed the vehicle after approximately an hour of investigation.

Additionally, the Maryland Transit Administration briefly suspended light rail service to the airport.

Airport officials did not immediately respond to the Post’s request for comment.
