However, after numerous campaigns that involved fans hacking and hijacking printers around the world in order to promote PewDiePie, the soldier fell. In 2019, T-Series surpassed PewDiePie on the platform. While the battle had given birth to the “Subscribe To PewDiePie” meme, the 2019 Christchurch shootings left a bitter taste in every PewDiePie supporter’s mouth.
Eventually, the gap between PewDiePie and T-Series’ subscribers became blatantly apparent, with the music label occupying the first position as the most subscribed account while PewDiePie sits low on the sixth spot.

However, it seems MrBeast picked up the baton Pewds put down and is ready to go head-to-head against the Indian music label.
MrBeast aka Jimmy Donaldson, is just some 70 million subscribers behind. With how popular the YouTuber is, fans are hopeful that the YouTuber will take over the music label.
