“Blunt force traumatic injuries observed at autopsy are generally not considered to be seriously life-threatening on their own,” according to the autopsy report.
“However, based on the circumstances in which Ms. Mooney was found, these injuries suggest that she was likely involved in a violent physical altercation prior to her death. Given this, the role that drugs and/or alcohol may have played in Ms. Mooney’s death, if any, is uncertain,” the report states.
Mooney was found dead in her South Figueroa Street apartment on September 12 after her mother called police to conduct a “welfare check” on the model.
When officers entered the apartment, they found a pool of blood under his lifeless body, which was “stuck in the refrigerator,” according to the report.
