The Republican National Committee on Friday lifted all restrictions on debate participation, allowing 2024 candidates to participate in any forum of their choosing and paving the way for three matchups to take place next month before the caucuses. Iowa and New Hampshire primaries.

The Iowa Republican caucuses will be held on January 15, and the New Hampshire primary will be held on January 23.
The RNC has no additional debates scheduled after hosting forums on Aug. 23 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Sept. 27 in Simi Valley, California, Nov. 8 in Miami, Florida, and Wednesday in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
CNN said it would increase rating restrictions for its debates to include a minimum of 10% in polls in either three national polls or Iowa and New Hampshire polls of likely Republican voters who meet the network’s reporting criteria.

Ramaswamy is interested in participating in the CNN debates, his spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin told The Post on Thursday, while Christie spokesman Karl Rickett said the campaign would look into participating.
Meanwhile, DeSantis published in X that he was “[l]I can’t wait to debate in Iowa!”
There was no immediate word from the campaigns of former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley or former President Donald Trump whether they would participate in any of the debates.
