They will be professionals! University opens career to be an influencer

Millions of young people around the world are dedicated to creating content for social networks, while thousands aspire to be “influencers.”

A university in Ireland will open a course in 2024 focused on teaching all the tricks necessary to manage your social networks.

South East Technological University (SETU) in Carlow will be the first in the world to offer this university degree, focused on the influencer economy.

An influencer is a person who stands out on one or more social networks, generating content for the influence of people who follow him or her.

In classes, students will learn about crisis management, public relations, celebrity studies, social psychology, and video and audio editing.

“We are considering adding aspects such as business skills and knowledge; the development of young people as leaders of their own growth so that they know what they can offer individually as creatives,” said SETU authorities.
