Bengaluru woman receives Bumble investor offerTwitter

The story began when a user named Eepsita Gupta decided to share a screenshot about X. In the screenshot, she was approached by an anonymous investor due to her high impressions of Bumble.

The conversation started with the investor suggesting, “You know, you should monetize your Bumble profile. If you get that many impressions on it.” At first, Gupta considered it an exaggeration, but things took an unexpected turn in the conversation.

The investor launched his pitch and suggested: “Add a line connecting my fund and telling founders to contact me if they are raising funds. If I end up investing in any of them, I will give you a percentage of the carry (accumulated interest)… of those companies.”

How did the woman react to the sudden offer?

Gupta was surprised and responded with a hearty “Hahahahaha,” but the investor assured him that he was serious. It is not yet clear whether the Bengaluru venue accepted the offer or not. She posted the conversation on Twitter and wrote: “Your girl is being offered a ride because of her Bumble reach. If this isn’t @peakbengaluru, I really don’t know what is.”
