Instagram is slowly growing to become the most used social media platform after Facebook. If you are not on Instagram, you must be missing out on a lot of things that might interest you or that are trending. If you want to create a new Instagram account, it is just a matter of a few minutes and I have discussed more about account creation here; so make sure to follow it step by step and open an Instagram account for your personal or business use.
Create an Instagram account using a mobile phone
If you want to set up an Instagram account on your mobile, here’s how to do it:
- For both Android and iPhone users, please go to your respective Play Store and download the Instagram app on your device.
- Once the app is installed, launch it and tap on the ‘Create new account’ option.
- Now, you will have two options to choose from: one is to use your ‘Phone Number’ and the other is to use your ‘Email Address’ to sign up for an Instagram account. Once you have entered the required information, tap ‘Next’.
- For the email address:
- You will be asked to enter the confirmation code sent to your email address; press ‘Next’.
- After that, fill in your profile information and tap ‘Next’ when prompted.
- By phone number:
Here I have demonstrated how to create an Instagram account using your mobile number.
- You need to enter your full name and touch one of the two options: ‘Continue and sync contacts’ or ‘Continue without syncing’.
- Then, add your date of birth and press ‘Next’.
- Your Instagram profile is ready, you can change your username if you want or tap ‘Next’.
- Now, you need to create a password for your Instagram account and tap on ‘Next’.
- If you want, you can even connect with your Facebook friends on Instagram, or else ‘Skip’ it for now.
- You can even add a profile picture if you want, or ‘Skip’ it otherwise.

Note: If you don’t want to create a separate Instagram account, you can ‘Login with Facebook’ directly.
Create an Instagram account on desktop
To create an Instagram account on PC, here are the steps:
- Go to instagram.com in a browser and tap ‘Sign Up’.
- On the next page, you will be asked to enter:
Mobile number or email
Full name
Username
Password
And then tap ‘Sign Up’.

- Next, you need to add your birthday and then tap on ‘Next’.
- Next, you need to enter the verification code you received on your email address or phone number.

The Instagram account is mainly used to increase business reach; you can easily promote your business and increase your following. There are several ways to increase real followers on Instagram. When creating an Instagram account for yourself, be sure to use genuine information to avoid getting blocked in the future. If you can make your brand popular or have a good following, you can also check your Instagram which is a much talked about-about Instagram feature. Also, if you feel any kind of inappropriate behavior from someone, you can simply block them on Instagram to prevent further contact.
