Trump Doesn’t ‘Have To Prepare Very Much’ For Criminal Trials, Lawyer Says

Former President Donald Trump’s legal spokeswoman, Alina Habba, suggested Sunday that he won’t have to do much prep work for his pending trials.

Attorney Alina Habba was asked on Fox News how Trump, 77, is able to juggle his legal troubles with his 2024 campaign for the Republican presidential nomination.

“If I were a normal person, honestly, Shannon, I could understand the concern. President Trump is not your average person. He is incredibly smart,” Habba told “Fox News Sunday” host Shannon Bream.

“He also knows the facts because he lived them,” Habba continued. “What is he going to have to be prepared for, right? You don’t have to prepare a lot when you haven’t done anything wrong, so I don’t care.”

Bream had laid out a timeline of Trump’s various indictments and stressed that he could face up to 700 years behind bars if convicted on all 91 charges against him.

Habba, who is also Trump’s legal spokesman and general counsel for the Trump-aligned PAC Save America, predicted the packed schedule will relax for the former president.

“The dates of these trials will also change. It is unrealistic, it is theatrics and no judge is going to say that you can be in two trials at the same time in two different states because many of these overlap, ”he emphasized.

“They’ll have to go until October, November of next year, again, by design,” Habba added, saying he has “no worries” about Trump’s run for president.

Last Thursday, Trump was booked into the notoriously dirty and bug-infested Fulton County Jail on the 13-count indictment against him for alleged rigging of the 2020 Georgia election.

His campaign later touted a $7.1 million fundraising bonanza in the 48-hour period following that booking, featuring his mugshot with a scowl on it.

In addition to the Fulton County indictment, he faces a 34-count indictment in Manhattan, a 40-count federal indictment for alleged hoarding of classified documents, and a four-count federal indictment for alleged 2020 election subversion.

Trump has denied any wrongdoing across the board.

The former president has pleaded not guilty to both the federal charges and the one filed by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

He is scheduled to be arraigned by the Fulton County prosecution next month.
