MANCHESTER, New Hampshire – DeSantis who?
Former President Donald Trump is scaling back his attacks on former Florida governor and his main 2024 rival, Ron DeSantis, instead focusing on Nikki Haley in full swing.
“You may have noticed that I haven’t mentioned Ron DeSanctimonious’ name yet,” Trump said 15 minutes into his speech.
“I think he’s gone.”
Amid single-digit polling in NH, DeSantis hopes to make up ground in Haley’s home state of South Carolina, and was absent from the Granite State entirely on Saturday while campaigning in the South.
Florida’s governor is scheduled to return to New Hampshire for an event Sunday night before invading the state on Monday ahead of the Jan. 23 primary.
Trump also lashed out at Haley’s lagging support in South Carolina, where she was governor, by bringing elected officials from the South’s first primary state on stage.
“To the people of New Hampshire: All you need to know about Nikki Haley is that every globalist, liberal, Biden supporter, and Never Trump supporter is on her side, and virtually every leader in her home state of South Carolina They are on our side. side,” Trump added.
Ahead of his Saturday night rally in Manchester, the Trump campaign gave the press a package of attacks on Haley to touch on issues such as her record on taxes, immigration and Democratic donors.

At a Concord campaign event on Friday, he criticized Haley’s record while she served as a U.N. ambassador under his administration.
“She’s not tough enough. “She is not smart enough and she is not respected enough,” Trump stated.
Haley is Trump’s main rival in New Hampshire, with some polls showing her just seven percentage points behind the 77-year-old.

Trump won the Iowa caucuses by 30 points, but he is urging voters to attend the nation’s first primary on Tuesday because “margins matter.”
So important is it that the Trump campaign is encouraging volunteers to call New Hampshire voters with rewards such as receiving a personalized hat signed by Trump, a VIP ticket to a rally or a photo taken with the former president.
“We have made hundreds of thousands of voter contacts across the state. We have the strongest volunteer army on the ground in any campaign. We have 270 municipal captains. We have a county chair from every county, all 10 in the state, and we have 67 legislative endorsements,” Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told The Post at Trump headquarters in New Hampshire on Saturday morning.

“We are very confident in Team Trump’s efforts to get President Trump over the finish line on Tuesday,” he added.
For the Trump camp, the goal on Jan. 23 is to build on the “momentum” they gained in Iowa, Trump’s top surrogate and upstate representative Elise Stefanik said Saturday.
At his rally on Saturday, Trump urged voters not to listen to the polls and go vote because “we need a big, big victory against these terrible people.”
“We have to win by a lot because we have to send a signal for November: we are coming,” he added.
