Former President Donald Trump insisted Monday that he hasn’t lost his temper, boasting about how he recently “aced” a cognitive test after apparently confusing former President Barack Obama with President Biden at recent campaign events.
Clips of the 77-year-old appearing to confuse the 44th and 46th presidents have circulated on social media and been eagerly analyzed by the 45th president’s political enemies.
But Trump has insisted he was “sarcastically” mixing up the two Democrats to taunt Biden about who is really running the show.
“Every time I sarcastically insert the name Obama for Biden as an indication that others may actually be having a major influence on the running of our country, Ron DeSanctimonious and his failed campaign apparatus, along with the ‘Disinformation Machine’ of the Democratic Radical Left, are going crazy saying that ‘Trump doesn’t know our president’s name, (CROWNED!) Joe Biden. He must be cognitively impaired,’” the Republican front-runner wrote in Truth Social.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ campaign has begun tabulating his rival’s campaign gaffes, highlighting mishaps like Trump forgetting which city he was in and worrying that Biden will lead us to “World War II.” .
“No, I know both names very well, never confuse them, and I know that they are destroying our Country. Additionally, as reported, I just took a cognitive test as part of my physical and passed it,” Trump added on Monday.
“Biden should take one so we can determine why he wants open borders, no energy independence, a woke military, high inflation, no voter ID, men playing women’s sports, only electric cars and trucks, an armed DOJ/FBI, etc. Lots of other CRAZY things!!!” he scolded.
President Biden’s campaign has also begun highlighting several striking comments by Donald Trump during the election campaign.
Last week, Trump released a letter touting his “excellent” health and weight loss on Biden’s 81st birthday.
The glowing missive, signed by Dr. Bruce Aronwald of Morristown, New Jersey, provided few details about Trump’s actual exams, the most recent of which reportedly took place in September.
If Trump wins the presidency in 2024, he will be poised to become the oldest sitting president in history, surpassing Biden.
