Donald Trump will disembark from his luxurious gold-plated Boeing 757 and enter one of the most notorious correctional complexes in the Peach State on Thursday night.
Trump and most of his 18 co-defendants charged with illegally attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 Georgia election have been booked into the Fulton County Jail, which is facing a Justice Department civil rights investigation and allegedly it has been mired in overcrowding, insect infestations and violence.
“It’s disgusting. It’s dirty. It’s dangerous. There were several cases that happened in the past, one of the most famous is when there was a former sheriff in charge, they filmed a video of rats,” former Georgia prosecutor Chris Timmons told ABC Thursday news.
During his foray into jail, Trump, a notorious germaphobe, is expected to stay away from the dirtier parts of the facility.
Instead, you will be relegated to administrative areas, where you are expected to have your mugshot and fingerprints taken.

But if Trump is found guilty of any of the 13 charges against him, he could see inside those supposedly dirty rooms.
The jail on Rice Street, near the Georgia Tech campus northwest of downtown Atlanta, was built in 1985 and houses approximately 3,000 inmates.
Earlier this year, authorities reached a $4 million settlement with the family of LaShawn Thompson, 35, who died in prison last year after being “eaten alive by bedbugs,” according to his lawyers. .
These are the conditions of the Fulton County Jail, where Lashawn Thompson was found dead, covered in lice and feces. At the time of his death, more than 90% of his unit was severely malnourished. ALL people had lice or scabies.

Thompson’s body was recovered on September 13, 2022, covered in insects in a dilapidated and unsanitary cell.
Outrage over conditions at the jail helped spark the Justice Department’s investigation into living conditions, violence at the facility, possible discrimination against people with disabilities, access to health care and more.
“I wouldn’t wish Fulton County Jail conditions on my worst enemy,” Anthony Michael Kreis, a Georgia State University law professor, wrote Aug. 12 on X, formerly Twitter.
I would not wish the conditions in the Fulton County Jail on my worst enemy. If you think making jokes about jail in Atlanta is all very well because Donald Trump is the butt of it, you might want to stop and read up on the inhumane ways people have died there.

“If you think making jail jokes in Atlanta is all very well because Donald Trump is the target of them, you might want to stop and learn about the inhumane ways people have died there,” he added.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who announced the 41-count indictment on Aug. 14, gave the defendants until noon Friday to turn themselves in.
Eleven of the defendants had turned themselves in by Thursday afternoon and 10 of them were released on bail.
Trump is expected to post $200,000 bail when he is arrested at 7:30 p.m.

After his last arraignment, in Washington, DC, Trump denounced what he called “filth and decay” in the nation’s capital.
Before Thursday’s booking, he had a similar vision of Atlanta.
“Why is there so much MURDER in Atlanta? Why are there so many violent crimes? People are afraid to go out and buy a loaf of bread! Trump lamented Truth Social.
“A big reason is that failed DA Fani Willis, who is campaigning and fundraising to ‘get Trump’ (just like everyone else!), doesn’t have the time, money or interest to pursue to the real criminals, not even the REALLY violent ones, who are destroying Atlanta and its once beautiful culture and way of life. This is another SAD DAY IN AMERICA!

The 77-year-old has denied any wrongdoing across the board and remains the frontrunner for the Republican presidency.
