Why is Thanksgiving Day celebrated?
According to history, in 1620 a ship called the ‘Mayflower’ arrived from England to Plymouth, Massachusetts. Once there, the indigenous people helped the English harvest the land in the settlement where they had settled.
A year later, in 1921, after having a successful harvest, the governor of Plymouth offered a banquet to thank the indigenous people who helped them obtain food.
