The chaotic situation occurred on Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida as well as Agra Mathura Firozabad National Highway, underlining the difficulties created by heavy fog in the early hours. Surprisingly, not everyone was fascinated by the vehicular mayhem amidst the chaos.
An unexpected detour caught the attention of locals gathered at the accident site. One of the trucks involved in the multi-vehicle incident was found to be transporting live poultry, specifically broiler birds raised for meat production.

Taking advantage of this unexpected windfall, the villagers quickly diverted their attention from the disaster and focused it on a more unusual activity: stealing chickens.

When authorities removed the damaged vehicle, they discovered a consignment of live chickens worth up to Rs. 1.50 lakh. The story immediately circulated among viewers, resulting in an unplanned chicken raid.
Why did people flock to the place?
Some people showed good business sense by arriving with sacks to maximize their loot. These opportunistic natives seemed to have intricate arrangements for multiple visits, whether on foot or by bicycle.
Videos circulating on the Internet show individuals jumping on top of the vehicle to take advantage of this unexpected “opportunity.” During the shock of the accident, it became clear that the villagers’ desired loot was live chickens.
Shockingly, reports indicate that despite the driver’s pleas, the mob emptied the car of chickens within minutes.
How did the accident affect the area?
Meanwhile, the crash on the national highway caused damage to at least a dozen vehicles. Tragically, one death was reported, while many other people were injured in the collisions. The injured were rushed to hospitals and a tow truck was called to remove the mangled cars and clear the road.
One passenger on the bus reportedly died on the spot, while around 24 people with serious injuries were treated at the Community Health Centre. Later, six people in serious condition were shifted to the Lucknow Trauma Centre.
