VIDEO: Influencer crashes a Tesla worth more than $175,000 by letting it drive on autopilot

The popularity of Tesla vehicles is growing with the curiosity of content creators, collectors and entrepreneurs around the world who, attracted by technology, seek to confirm everything that is said about them.

This is what happened with the Mexican influencer Carlo Bello, who while testing the autopilot of an exclusive model worth 175 thousand dollars (more than 4.3 million lempiras) crashed on one of the main avenues of his city.

Bello, known as “Soy Mirrey”, has gained popularity on social networks thanks to his videos in which he gives advice to his followers on investments and sales to grow their businesses.

In addition, he shares content that has generated great controversy such as the sale of tamales in Ecatepec and, recently, the crash of a luxurious Tesla.

“Today we are going to know if we can win a lawsuit against Elon Musk, for this we are going to test this Tesla, the autopilot, the detection of other cars, the automatic braking. I am going to see if this car is really safe,” Carlo says after showing details about the luxurious truck before putting it to the test.

The crash

The influencer pointed out that he had not yet purchased the vehicle and that it was a test, although after the crash he had to do so.

While driving, he chose to travel along one of the main roads in Guadalajara, Jalisco, to activate the autopilot and to do so he pretended to be asleep while the vehicle continued on its course.

From one moment to the next he had to brake because another car in front of him stopped suddenly, which is why another driver hit the back of the Tesla. Although it was not a major accident, the truck did suffer damage.

“I will never use the autopilot of a Tesla again because I already know that they are not functional. At least not in Mexico, I don’t want to die, I would much rather be behind the wheel and take responsibility for the car than trust a computer or a artificial intelligence, I don’t know,” he added.
