Chilling new footage shows the chaotic moments after a shark bit a 10-year-old boy in a Bahamian shark tank, with the predator surrounding its victim as its blood fills the pool.
Staff had taken the boy to the tank as part of the “Walking with Sharks” tour at the Atlantis Bahamas Resort, which promises 30 minutes of fun for kids ages 10 and up with nurse and reef sharks for $110.
What promised to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience quickly turned violent when one of the sharks lunged between the boy’s legs, forcing him to straddle the giant fish, which then turned and sunk its teeth into his right calf, as obtained in the video. by TMZ programs.
The 10-year-old boy frantically shot to the surface of the tank and was helped to safety by his father, who bravely dove into the shark-infested pool to push his son to safety.
The sharks continued to pass by the profusely bleeding young man as he desperately kicked his injured leg toward the surface.

“There’s a little boy in there!” a guest said in disbelief.
Another video filmed by spectators at the Atlantis Bahamas Resort captured the madness that followed once they realized the seriousness of the situation.
“Did that just bite him?” The boy’s mother can be heard asking before shouting: “Oh my God, that’s my son! He Calls 911!”
The boy cried in pain the moment he broke the surface of the water, while his mother and other children screamed in horror.
Several times, the sharks’ fins swept the surface, through the swarm of blood the boy left behind.
The boy’s parents pulled him from the water and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was found to be in stable condition.
Moments before the terrifying incident, the boy had been walking near the shark tank with a companion as part of the resort’s on-site shark encounter experience, witnesses told TMZ.

The 10-year-old boy was just one of many in the tank who donned a large white helmet, a heavy oxygen tank and fins to watch the sharks circle the tank, but the predators seemed to zero in on the smaller one seconds before attack.
It is unclear the full extent of his injuries and why the sharks attacked the boy.
Atlantis Bahamas Resort and tour organizers Blue Adventures quickly closed the tanks after the attack.

The resort, where room prices start at around $250 per night, offers a one-hour “Walk with Sharks” experience for kids ages 10 and up, which is described as “easy and fun.”
The shark tank expedition page is no longer available on the resort’s website, but a tour page linked to Blue Adventures lists the adventure as available to guests ages 10 and older.
The event usually lasts 30 minutes and costs $110.
In a statement, Blue Adventures, the event’s organizers, said: “We have launched a thorough internal investigation and are cooperating fully with authorities.”
“Incidents like this involving interactions with marine life, including the shark species included in this experience, are rare and never acceptable.”
The terrifying accident comes as the US embassy in the Bahamas issued a strict travel warning against the island nation after the murders of 18 tourists, some of which occurred in broad daylight.
