VJ Thara was born on January 10, 1997 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. After completing her studies in Chennai, she started her career by working as a presenter in a Kollywood music show called Isaiaruvi, which airs on Kalaignar TV. She later appeared in many modeling contests and fashion shows.
Career
Thara started making comedy videos on a YouTube channel called BehindwoodsTV in 2017-19. In 2020, she got the opportunity to debut in the Tamil television industry by playing the supporting actress role of Meena in Star Vijay’s serial Anbudan Kushi and in the same year, she also appeared in Zee Tamil’s soap opera Sembaruthi.
Thara once again got the opportunity to make her debut in the Kollywood industry by appearing in Vijay’s action thriller film Master in 2021. She played the role of a student and received positive reviews from the audience.
In 2023, Thara rose to fame for playing the role of Veera Lakshmi in Zee Tamil’s romantic drama series Anna. That same year, she made headlines for playing the lead role of Dhanalakshmi in Zee Tamil’s drama serial Sandhya Raagam, starring Sandhya Jagarlamudi, Antara Swarnakar and Surjith Kumar.
